I looooovvvveeee Columbus Day! You know why? Kids don't have to go to school on Columbus Day. That means teachers don't have to go too. Mwahhahahhaha. So I stayed over my sis' this long weekend and just chilled. Woke up on my own at the butt crack of dawn and went shopping by myself on Magnificent Mile. :D :D :D I love shopping by myself.

I tried Xteener's makeup tutorial with the Covergirl Tropical Quad. (omg drugstore brand makeup! yikes) But I like it. You can't really tell the intensity of the colors in the pic, but here's the vid if you're interested. She's pretty good. Usually good tips on makeup, but talks too much sometimes. haha. I guess I'm just impatient.

On a side note, I'm a lil annoyed at someone right now. GRR.

This weekend, class was cancelled. whoot whooooooott. I went shopping in downtown by myself and waited till my sis got outta work. Then we went out to Rollapalooza for sushi in Lincoln Park. Yum Yum. I had a Chirashi which tasted great but not worth the $13. kekeke. Then I headed back to Hyde Park for an hour of receptionist training. Then worked out and headed back downtown to meet up with Hannah. We went to OYSY for din din and watched Burn After Reading. It was a funny movie, but overall just alright. After that we headed to my sis apt in Lakeview and then headed to Smart Bar where we all got totally trashed.... Yeeesh. Needless to say, I woke up with the worst headache but managed to run to the beach and sun tan for a while. Today was such a nice day. Couldn't help but to be in a good mood. :)

Yay! I got a part time job as a receptionist at the Japanese Spa Zen. Oooohohohohoho. Finally some extra $$ for food and shopping. :) Yay! I've always wanted to be a receptionist. For some reason, typing on a computer, taking phone calls, sweeping hair, and saying, "Hi, welcome to Japanese Spa Zen!" seems like the perfect job for me. To top it all off with icing, my boss is Japanese and has a Japanese speaking husband. When I went for my job "interview" today, she spoke to me mostly in Japanese. I understood most of it and could respond. I think this is going to be great practice for me! Also, on the way to the salon, I found out that the new sushi restaurant on 53rd is opened today! Wowzerz! Hope it's good. Anyway, I'm still screwed cause I'm up to my neck in homework. Ugh for being a procrastinator.

Hectic! 10/06/2008

This month is going to be busy, busy, busy. On Thursday, I have part of a unit plan due. AHhhhhhHHHhh, but tomorrow we're going to the circus. So it may cause some delay, but I'm really looking forward to it. My teacher changed the seating a bit in my class and I like it a lot better that one of the students is sitting by a quiet girl. The students seem to be getting better with raising their hands and interrupting, not to say that they don't do it anymore. Overall, I think this year will go by super fast. I am just taking it in week by week. I know that job looking time is coming up soon. I'm just trying not to get nervous at this point.

I had a wonderful weekend with D-balls. :) I love just chilling with him. It really doesn't matter what we do or where we go, I just enjoy his company. :) This weekend has been going well for me. I got an email from the Japanese Spa Zen salon by my apartment asking if I am still interested in being a receptionist there. Heck yea I am! They want a punctual and consistent person. Check! Well...I do plan to be gone for a weekend in Nov and also a Saturday due to class meetings, but I think I'm fit for the job! :) Tanoshiminishiteimasu! (^v^)

Out & About 10/02/2008

Today I went to SB with my roomie to get coffee and do homework, but it was way too crowded in there. Sooooo, we decided to go to the Business college instead. It was so awesome there. Big beautiful building. Totally great place for doing hw. Not to mention their awesome cafeteria. Something tells me I'll be there quite often. :)
