Soon I'll be saying Bye to this long awaited winter break... (T_T) I don't want it to end!!!!! Argggggg. When break ends, it means school, work, being unhealthy, being tired, being stressed out, the list goes on... I can't believe xmas passed by SO quickly! I feel grateful to have break though. It really sucks cause I haven't had quality time with my bf. I went to his two family dinners but we were always around a lot of people. Le sigh.... I don't know.... I've been so sad lately.... Crying to sleep and waking up crying.... le sigh again.... I hate being fat and I just am unhappy with the bf

First off, Merry Xmas Everyone!!!!!
I just got home not so long ago from my bf's family's Xmas Eve Party. It was fun and lottttsss of GOOD food. -_- This is so bad on my health. haha. But this leads to the next topic I want to talk about........

.........New Years Resolutions!
Ok so I've been thinking about my resolutions for the up and coming year of 2009......here is what I am thinking so far:
1. Lose 10-15 lbs.
2. Get a job.
3. Build a better relationship with the ones I love.

I'll probably add more as I think about it more. Anyway, time to catch up on some zzzzzzz's. ;D

I decided to update you guys on what I got from the Kira store. Unfortunately the necklace I bought and the hat I bought is not available anymore. I got a total of four items.

I got this blazer in black actually, but it's sold out on the site. Look at the design on the upper right! Kawaii deshou?!?!?!?!

I got this zip up hoodie for my cousin as a xmas gift. Nothing special from the front, but the back is oh so cute! :)

This is the hat I got. I think this in grey. It's not available anymore. I'm glad I made my purchase fast!

Last, but not least, this is the necklace I got. Luvs it. I think it'll go great with a plain grey long sleeve shirt. :)

I spent last weekend with my friend Hannah that works at the Four Seasons Ritz-Carlton in downtown Chicago. She was allowed to stay for a weekend with one friend for free! We got to order dinner and breakfast for free as well! It was sooooooo awesome! I felt like a princess. :D The food was absolutely amazing and the service was superb. The hotel itself was gorgeous. So the first night, I cabbed it straight to the hotel after work. Then, Hannah gave me a tour of the hotel and we had dinner at The Cafe. Dinner consisted of.....

our starter bread, deeeelicious!

my tomato basil soup, very fresh

Hannah's lobster bisque, amazing! the aroma swirled around and lingered in my mouth. :)

my salmon, melted in my mouth

Hannah's steak cooked medium, a-ma-zing as well

my caramelized fig dessert w/ice cream, omg sooooo good!

Hannah's coconut island floating on blueberry sauce, heaven

Breakfast was awesome as well. We ordered room service. The server wheeled in a cute little table for us. We ordered two sets of the Japanese style breakfast. Breakfast is served......

So our bill for the stay and food amounted to almost $1000. Dang! It was all less than 12 hours too.... hahaha. It must be so nice to be able to afford this kind of life style all the time. Also, when I was in the elevator going up to the Water Tower from the hotel, I was standing a few inches away from three basketball players. The one I recognized was Yi Jian Lian from the NJ Nets! I felt like I was two inches tall! lmao. Was too scared to ask for autograph though....

The first time I ate an galette of any kind was at the Grand Lux Cafe with my boyfriend. It was like heaven....so I wanted to learn how to make it. Luckily, when I was watching Rachel Ray one day, she made a pear version! I searched for the recipe online and modified it to make it a teeny bit healthier and I also changed it to an apple galette, because that is what I had at the Grand Lux Cafe. :) Anyways, this was UBER easy. Seriously. I never bake and I did it. Served with some vanilla ice cream on the side, MMMM!

Ingredients
- premade pie dough
- one large apple (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup sugar + addition for sprinkling
- egg wash (one egg with a lil bit of water)
- a knob of unsalted butter

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degree fahrenheit.
2. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with the thinly sliced pieces of apple.
3. Roll out pie crust dough on a baking sheet. Pile the apples in the center. Leave about 1-2 inches on the outside so we can fold the crust.
4. Fold the crust and keep overlapping around the galette.
5. Dot the top of the apple slices with butter.
6. Brush egg wash on the crust and sprinkle with additional sugar.
7. Bake for 30 mins or until apples are cooked down.
8. Enjoy & Smile!

*** Serving this warm with vanilla ice cream is heavenly***

Tonight, the interns living in the same apt as I had a Secret Santa/Baked Goods party together. I made apple galette for the first time! It was incredibly easy and deeeelish. Mwahaha. The person I had to get a present for was actually my roomie. I got her a LeSportsac messenger bag. Super cute! She loved it! I received a clutch and two pairs of earrings from my secret santa (Melissa). I can't say that they are my style.... kekeke. Anyway, everyone baked something yummy. Here are just a few items there.

roomie's chocolate chip meringue cookies :) YUM

Amy's biscottis..... LUVS them! (this was my fav)

Melissa made us cookies to decorate! So cute!

Hello Hello, I got my Hard Candy Haul a while ago and thought I'd share with you all ( or myself) what I got. I gave my Take Out box to my sis and one gloss. The eyeshadow I got was in Peppermint and I love it as a highlighter. It's soft enough to have good pigment, but not overly soft where it gets messy and powdery. I haven't tried the lip glosses yet, because I'm still deciding if I want to give them away for Xmas presents. Isn't the packaging super cute?

Here is my entry for Paper Doll Revenge's "The Quickie Mini Contest". Such a fun and creative contest! :D

"The Poker Face"
She has a Poker Face, because she's good at hiding emotions. Her patient and quiet demeanor often disguises her creativity in arts. She paints with makeup and faces are her canvas. Constantly changing, she likes to reflect on inner self. She was not born into this world to "break stereotypes" or be unique or different from anyone or anything. Poker Face is not here to fall into any stereotypes. She is simply herself in any given situation and does not do things to satisfy anyone's assumptions. It will take a sincere heart to see the inner beauty of her Poker Face.
