Many of you beauty bloggers and experts know about the Cosmetics Settlement that has been going on. All I have to say is if you live in the US, go now to your nearest Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillards, the list goes on and on. I went right after work straight to Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. At Nordstrom, I didn't have to wait in line at all. I chose Dior's j'adore perfume. It is the 15ml-0.5 FL.OZ version. Then I headed to Macy's where there were two lines. One was shorter for a choice of Estee Lauder's night serum and Clinique's Moisture Surge. I chose the surge and it was the 1 OZ/10ml version. I could've gone to the lonnnnng line for perfume, but I was tired. I could've also went to the other Nordstrom, but it was getting late. ***sigh*** I'm so happy I got these two goodies though!!! :D

Sephora Goodies 01/16/2009

I went shopping after my first video conference today! Yay! There are seriously some major deals out there. I got a MNG trenchcoat for 50% off! It's just right too. So hard to find a trench that isn't too long on me. hehe. Anyway, I decided to go to Sephora to purchase the Murad Blemish concealer stick to try it out. Hopefully it covers and heals my blemishes! :(

When I was there, they had some good sales going on too! Vincent Longo products were on major sale. I got the Souffle Eyeshadow for $6.00 and the liquid eyeliner for $4.50. What a steal!

Wow, I FINALLY cleaned and organized my room at my apartment. Phew~ I spent almost the entire day doing so and then straight to workout after. :D Just wanted to show how I organized my makeup using the organizer I got from IKEA which was on sale at the store! Super bonus! I really want to get more for my hair/beauty supplies. There are many different units to choose from. My favorite part about it is that it fits in the top drawer of my IKEA drawer I got when I moved to this apartment. Yay for minimalism~ :)

For Christmas, I didn't get too many presents, but I really like all the presents I received (well, with the exception of one ;)). Here are two of the items I received. <3 (^o^) hehehe

Coach wallet from my sister (along with Britney Spears concert tickets!)

interior of wallet. LUVs the pink interior!

Rhea, one of my best buds from High School, got me a very cute tea set along with Victoria's Secret face palette

inside of VS's VERY SEXY face palette

Over break, I also got a few items that I wanted to share with you girlies. I read a review on this Sonia Kashuk makeup sponge from Target on Makeup For Life and decided to get it for my sister to try out. I, on the other hand, am just too lazy to wash a reusable foundation sponge. hehe Below is what it looks like. When my mom first saw it, she said it looks like a pile of poop. When my sister's bf saw it, he said it looks like poo too. keke. But the shape allows for easy application to hard to reach areas like the nose.

So I went to Sephora to buy my Dr.Murad Cleanser and I received a Benefit cream eyeshadow/eyeliner for free for being on the Beauty Insider's club. The color is gorgeous and yes! it doesn't crease! :D Isn't the packaging cute?

Below is the new blush I got from The Body Shop. It was on sale for $9! It is a shimmery peach color. I don't like the idea of using that applicator, but I think it's cute~ keke I swatched it on my arm but I don't know if you can see the color that well. It definitely has shimmery sparkles though. :)

FOTD

Here's my FOTD using the Benefit eyeshadow and Peach blush.

Hello Hello, I got my Hard Candy Haul a while ago and thought I'd share with you all ( or myself) what I got. I gave my Take Out box to my sis and one gloss. The eyeshadow I got was in Peppermint and I love it as a highlighter. It's soft enough to have good pigment, but not overly soft where it gets messy and powdery. I haven't tried the lip glosses yet, because I'm still deciding if I want to give them away for Xmas presents. Isn't the packaging super cute?

Here is my entry for Paper Doll Revenge's "The Quickie Mini Contest". Such a fun and creative contest! :D

"The Poker Face"
She has a Poker Face, because she's good at hiding emotions. Her patient and quiet demeanor often disguises her creativity in arts. She paints with makeup and faces are her canvas. Constantly changing, she likes to reflect on inner self. She was not born into this world to "break stereotypes" or be unique or different from anyone or anything. Poker Face is not here to fall into any stereotypes. She is simply herself in any given situation and does not do things to satisfy anyone's assumptions. It will take a sincere heart to see the inner beauty of her Poker Face.

So, I discovered Yumeko's blog recently and came across this contest. Basically, we can only use 5 pieces of makeup (not including foundation, brow, or MASCARA!) and create five different looks. I thought this was super fun and thought it would be awesome for traveling cause you want to take the least amount of makeup that allows for many different looks. Here is my take on the contest! Hope you like it! (^v^)

Here are my 5 pieces of makeup. I counted mascara as one piece! I used IMJU's Fiberwig mascara, Revlon's Mix & Mingle lip palette in Caramelt, Physician's Formula black eyeliner, Dior's 5 color palette in Pink Attitude, and Clinique's blush in Cupid.....as you can see, I use these products A LOT! It's hitting pan!

Parent Interview 11/24/2008

Long time no blog. Well, I have been really busy....
On Sunday, I went to the Istria Cafe with my roomie Amanda to do hw without the distraction of internet. Istria Cafe is soooo cute and I loved their coffee and chocolate biscotti. I ordered a mocha and let me tell you, the two shots of expresso really got to me. I used to be not affected by caffiene at all, but boy was I jittery. Surprisingly, I wrote my entire paper when I was there. Yahooooo! Turned it in that day and received a 4.0 on it. Yes! BUT, I got 80/90 on my Unit Plan Project which is like a 3.0. BOOOOOOOOO! I guess grad school isn't as easy as I had hoped..... Anyway, my Hard Candy haul came today! Yahooooooo. The items I got are extremely CUTE! Pics and review later on. Although I do plan to give some as presents for Xmas. ;D

Anyway, about the Parent Interview Project....I interviewed one of my student's mom this morning and she was super nice and sweet. She told me she had fun and I gave my thanks and whatnot. After the interview, she asked if she could "talk to me outside"..... I was thinking, "Oh, she must be concerned about her daughter in the class or whatever". But, what she wanted was $5 from me for her to buy a bus pass. I felt horrible, because I did not bring my wallet. I also felt kind of uncomfortable....I don't know...I guess this is a reality of urban schools.

Ok ladies, there's a major sale going on at Hard Candy. 75% off EVERYTHING. No code needed. Have fun! I already stocked up. :D
