HELL Week~ 04/22/2008

This week sucks. I hate it. To much too do before before graduation AND after graduation. I have so many useless people around me. Why?

On a side note, I made almond banana whole wheat muffins today. It was yummy, but not sweet enough cause I only added like a tbsp of honey. So when I ate it, I drizzled some extra honey on it and smeared some Promise butter on it. Yum.

Today, right when I got off the bus, I realized that I had dropped my student id and bus pass. Needless to say, I was in panic mode. I looked all over the grass and bus stop area. I even checked my backpack, which I never put it in. Then I was sure that I dropped it on the bus cause I got on the bus with my bus pass. So I called cata right away and they told me to wait for the bus to come back. I waited for about 15 minutes and found the bus I was on, but NO BUS PASS! So, I gave up and as I was walking back to the apartment, I got a phone call from a guy that wanted to check out our sofa. He came and looked at it and I think he liked it a lot. We'll see how that goes. When I got on my computer, I got a facebook message from a girl telling me she found my id! SO LUCKY! So after din din, I went to pick it up. :) SO relieved. If I couldn't find it, I would b e so screwed cause I'm graduating in a few weeks and I need it for the graduation ceremony. Moreover, I don't want to spend money that I don't have on a new student id that I'll only use for a few more weeks and also, I don't want to pay for bus rides.

This weekend was so fun. On Friday, Jun, Angel, Andrew, and I hung out. We started with dinner at Peking Express. We found out that they're under new management. I ordered the Chinese spinach in a soup base. It was delicious! Luvs it. Only down side is that it cost me $13. Ugh. After that, we went to Jun's dorm room in Owen Hall to watch the MSU basketball game against Memphis. We lost, but everyone expected that. haha. We didn't really pay attention to the game anyway. We played card games and drank as a punishment. After that, we watched a bunch of Gaki no Tsukai. Jun was hilarious when he laughed. Cracked me up so bad.

Yesterday, we all went to see MSU's Project Runway. Nick Verreos from Project Runway Season 2 came to be a judge! He was so funny and personable. The show itself was not that great, but he made it worth it. After the show, he had a "meet and greet". I got to take pics with him and I told him he was "fierce". hahaha. Very nice. I need to watch season 2 now that I've met him. haha.

With all the fun I had, I forgot to write my TE494 essay and turn it in! I just got that done today, but I was suppose to turn it in by 8:00pm yesterday. Eeek. Now I have a shitload of homework to do. :(

***signing off.......

***** UPDATE!!!!!: I found my pic on Nick Verreo's blog!!!!

Breaking Record! 03/12/2008

Now that my busiest day (Wed) is over, I can squeeze a little bit of time to blog (which I haven't done in a while). The Chicago trip was fun and my favorite part was getting to use my sister's gym. haha. We also ate some great food, of course. I also went to the MCA and Chicago Art Institute with Ravesloot and his friend "Dirty". The museums were pretty, but a little bit boring to be honest. I think the DIA is much more fun and I still have to check out the renovated version! After I got back from Chicago, I met up with Kaori and Bomm-san and his friend Porath at the Black Lotus at the corner of 14 mile rd and main street (right by Noble Fish). It was very nice! It's definitely a place I can see myself frequenting. I ordered a vanilla cappucino and it was delicious. :)

Also, recently I finally got the earrings I've always wanted from Target by the designer Dominique Cohen. It was on clearance, so no matter how broke I am, I had to get them!

Oh, the best thing that happened today was me breaking my own record! By all means, I am not the competitive type at all, but when it comes to running on the good ol' treadmill, I like to challenge and motivate myself by trying to outrun the person next to me. Well today, I had a fierce competitor. She would not stop running! hahhaa. So I amped it and ended up running more than 7 miles under 60 minutes. I have NEVER ran for that long and that distance before! ***Pats myself on back*** Mind you that this was after like 3-4 hours of sleep and classes from 9:00am till 3:30pm. I'm a trooper.

I am swamped with schoolwork and things to worry about. :( real updates soon hopefully....

I'm done with the contest! Sorry if I sounded like I won something, but I didn't. hahaha. I did well though. Everyone was extremely good this year. I was blown away by everyone. I sort of feel bad for the judges actually. They probably pulled a wad of hair off from judging. haha.

My sis came from Chicago to see me perform my speech, too. :) After the speech contest, we went to BiBimbap in Novi to eat lunch/dinner. I ordered the assorted vegetables grilled Korean style. It came with a bunch of different kim chi. SO delicious! mmmmm....
Then, after that, we went to 12 oaks mall for a little bit. I got a pair of BCBG flip flops for under $10.00! Woo hoo! :D

Tomorrow, I am heading to Chicago with my sister early in the morning and I didn't even start packing yet, but I don't care. kekeke. :P

I'm on Spring Break! Yahooooooo!~
Today, I took my LLT midterm (which I did horrible in), went to the gym for a good workout, gave my Kanji speech, and practiced my speech speech with Sakakibara sensei. After that, I went to the apartment, packed and drove home. Then I had an awesome dinner with my mom at home. We had two leftover dishes that my dad made. SO good. It was taro and eggplants stuffed with fish and pork. My mom made garlic Chinese spinach and these shrimp patties that she labored last night for. I'm a lucky girl. She also brewed me a cup of her kumquat honey tea. mmmmm. I also had some organic SO Delicious chocolate ice cream! My fav! Only 130 calories per serving and it's dairy free. :) It tastes better than regular chocolate ice cream in my opinion.

On that note.....my stomach still feels horrible, but I can still eat. hahaha. Nothing will stop me, muwahhaha.

On a happier note, my sis will arrive tomorrow! She's coming to see me give my speech on Saturday! Yahoooo!~ Then, we will head to Chicago together on Sunday. Can't wait! (^v^)

Tummy Ache 02/27/2008

My stomach has been feeling horrible lately. I don't know if it's something I ate or what, but it's making me feel horrible. ;( The thing is I don't need to go to the bathroom. Maybe I ate something toxic. ugh.

I feel really weak today. I didn't end up going to the Urban Outfitters Night thing. I have a midterm and speech practice tomorrow. ;(

I'm getting really nervous about my speech on Saturday (only 3 more days left! ahh!). I only memorized it last night and today, when I went to practice with Sakakibara sensei, I stumbled in a few parts towards the end. **sigh** I think sleep is so important. Now I know why I used to feel fatigue all the time. It was definitely from what I ate and moreover the amount of sleep I was getting. I use to sleep on average about 4-6 hours a day. Now, I like sleeping about 7, but since I've been so busy lately, I only get about 4-6. Therefore, I am always super tired and in class, it's hard to concentrate. At the gym, I feel OK, but still I could do better.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I hate Wednesdays. I have to sit in two classes from 9:00am - 3:30pm with a break from 11:45ish-12:40pm. Then, usually right after that, I go to the gym. Tomorrow, I might go to a review session for my LLT class instead though. I feel like I could defnitely benefit from that. There's also the Urban Outfitters night. I don't know when I'll go to the gym and if I will have enough time to study for the test. Ahhhh. And the Japanese Speech. omg.... ;(

I'm pretty sick of field observations and studies right now. It's so mind numbing. Don't get me wrong, I want to learn as much as possible, but sometimes, sitting there with a sub and doing nothing more than helping them with work is just mind numbing. Especially when you have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to go.

For dinner, I made "Keh Dan Mor Goo". Basically, it's a classic Chinese dish with Egg in a soupy tomato sauce and I added the mushrooms. It's usually set over rice and is sweet. I made mine not so sweet and the eggs did not come out as "wat" (slippery) as I would've liked. It was more lumpy, but it still tasted good. keke. Once I perfect the egg, I might post up the recipe. (It's pictured above)
